{"id":864,"date":"2013-12-26T14:28:16","date_gmt":"2013-12-26T19:28:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.legeekretrogaming.com\/geekblog\/?p=864"},"modified":"2019-12-29T22:48:24","modified_gmt":"2019-12-30T03:48:24","slug":"three-new-shockbox-inserts-to-close-out-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.legeekretrogaming.com\/geekblog\/?p=864","title":{"rendered":"Three new Shockbox Inserts to close out 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After taking a break from making new inserts, I&#8217;ve finished up requested designs for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legeekretrogaming.com\/geekblog\/?page_id=109\">Double Dragon<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legeekretrogaming.com\/geekblog\/?page_id=338\">Street Hoop<\/a>, as well as a new one from my personal to do list&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legeekretrogaming.com\/geekblog\/?page_id=338\">Samurai Shodown III<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s see how I did overall this year with my to do list:<\/p>\n<h3>Requests:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><del>Color correct KOF 2002 inserts<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li><del>create Double Dragon insert<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li><del>create Street Hoops insert<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li><del>Have a go with ST-V inserts: Die Hard Arcade, Columns 97, and Terra Diver<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Redesigns:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Last Blade 2<\/li>\n<li>Neo Driftout<\/li>\n<li>Samurai Shodown II<\/li>\n<li><del>Samurai Shodown III<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li>Sengoku<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Minor Tweaks:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><del>KOF 2000<\/del> CANCELED<\/li>\n<li><del>The Last Blade<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li><del>Metal Slug<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<li><del>Puzzled<\/del> DONE<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not bad, I&#8217;d say!\u00a0 At least I finished up all the long standing requests.\u00a0 So here&#8217;s my new revised to do list for 2014:<\/p>\n<h3>New Requests:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Sengoku 2<\/li>\n<li>Magician Lord (minor tweak)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>New Inserts:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Knight&#8217;s Chance<\/li>\n<li>Magical Drop II<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Redesigns: (carried over from 2013)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Last Blade 2<\/li>\n<li>Neo Driftout<\/li>\n<li>Samurai Shodown II<\/li>\n<li>Sengoku<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regarding the new list, I&#8217;d say Last Blade 2 and Neo Driftout will be finished relatively soon, as I have them more or less planned out in my head.\u00a0 Same with Knight&#8217;s Chance, and Magician Lord should be a quick fix.\u00a0 The others may take longer, particularly Sengoku and Sam Sho II, two earlier inserts I&#8217;ve never been completely happy with.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I enjoy making these and I&#8217;m glad fellow Neo-Geo heads find them useful.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s to a great 2014!<\/p>\n<p>Cheers,<br \/>\nBen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After taking a break from making new inserts, I&#8217;ve finished up requested designs for Double Dragon and Street Hoop, as well as a new one from my personal to do list&#8211;Samurai Shodown III.
