Ten Pin Alley, while offering a damn fine game of bowling with actual physics, lovingly captures the inherent corniness of the sport. With a bevy of stereotypical characters to choose from (the fat guy, the mullet, the kid, the poindexter, et al.), a handful of seedy bowling alleys, and cheesy lounge or country/western music playing in the background, the mood for bowling is set.
Gameplay consists of the familiar, two-stage meter of power and accuracy with optional spin control. Bowling balls of all sizes are at your disposal, and different characters require different tactics. Humorous win and fail animations are a nice touch.
