I’m going to avoid repeating a variation of the 180 joke, and just say that I am glad that Microsoft decided to stay competitive with Sony. The digital future will come soon enough. Now we have ourselves a proper horse race between PS4 and Xbox One, with WiiU going its own way on the side.
I’ll be sitting this one out for a year or so, to see how the systems shape up. While it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of the new and shiny, new consoles historically have next to nothing to play on them for about a year, once the launch titles dry up. I’m still leaning towards Sony, but that’s due my preferences in games more than anything else. It’s back to being about the games, and that’s exactly how it should be.
