Wise from your Gwave (New SHOCKBOX Inserts!)
It’s been awhile, but I have some new Neo-Geo Shockbox inserts to share with you! First up is an update to my Neo Driftout insert. Back when I was getting feedback on the design on neo-geo.com, fellow insert maker NeoCverA pointed out that the car photos on the front would look better with a cell …
A New Insert Approaches!!!
Man has it been almost a year? Anyway here we are, and here is a new Shockbox Insert, for Crossed Swords II. An MVS conversion has been made from the Neo-Geo CD by Razoola, so it seemed a perfect time to dust off Photoshop… Looking at my old To Do list, the following still need …
New Neo-Geo Insert: Neo Driftout
Neo Driftout is definitely my favorite driving game on the Neo-Geo, and I’ve never quite been happy with my previous Shockbox insert. I think this came out pretty well, and I hope you enjoy it. My next insert will probably be a revision of my design for Last Blade 2. Cheers, Ben
Magician Lord Inserts – One New & One Updated…
I’ve been sitting on a long standing request to fix my insert for Magician Lord, since it incorrectly stated the game was for 1-2 Players. I’ve hesitated, since I’ve never been totally happy with the layout. I’ve wanted to redo the back for awhile. Anyway, here they both are… So let’s check the tally on …
Knight’s Chance Shock insert updated
Got a little ahead of myself on this insert, but it now A) has the proper MEG count and B) features the Neobitz logo (no SNK). Cheers, Ben
Knight’s Chance insert is now available
My first Neo-Geo SHOCKBOX insert of 2014 is now ready for download. Knight’s Chance is a new aftermarket game by Neobitz. Tim Jonsson, the pixel and cover artist who worked on the game, graciously offered some high quality art assets, which made my work much easier. (Half the time when I make inserts, my time is spent cleaning …
Three new Shockbox Inserts to close out 2013
After taking a break from making new inserts, I’ve finished up requested designs for Double Dragon and Street Hoop, as well as a new one from my personal to do list–Samurai Shodown III. Let’s see how I did overall this year with my to do list: Requests: Color correct KOF 2002 inserts DONE create Double …
Tales of the Picross Fiend – Part One
Picross is an addiction, somewhere between Heroin and Double Stuffed Oreos. It has many street names, e.g., Nonograms, Picture Puzzle, Illust-Logic…yet the puzzles all play the same, more or less. By interpreting numbers on the left and top sides of a gridded square, you fill in pixels to create an image. If the controls and interface …
Shockbox Update – Inserts for Titan ST-V games added
On request, I’ve had a go at creating inserts for some Titan ST-V arcade games. They were fun to make, especially the one for Diehard Arcade, since it was a perfect excuse to use the Japanese poster for the movie. Just look at that thing, the actual film is not nearly as exciting! My only …
