Three new Shockbox Inserts to close out 2013

After taking a break from making new inserts, I’ve finished up requested designs for Double Dragon and Street Hoop, as well as a new one from my personal to do list–Samurai Shodown III.

Let’s see how I did overall this year with my to do list:

Requests:

• Color correct KOF 2002 inserts DONE
• create Double Dragon insert DONE
• create Street Hoops insert DONE
• Have a go with ST-V inserts: Die Hard Arcade, Columns 97, and Terra Diver DONE

Redesigns:

• The Last Blade 2
• Neo Driftout
• Samurai Shodown II
• Samurai Shodown III DONE
• Sengoku

Minor Tweaks:

• KOF 2000 CANCELED
• The Last Blade DONE
• Metal Slug DONE
• Puzzled DONE

Not bad, I’d say!  At least I finished up all the long standing requests.  So here’s my new revised to do list for 2014:

New Requests:

• Sengoku 2
• Magician Lord (minor tweak)

New Inserts:

• Knight’s Chance
• Magical Drop II

Redesigns: (carried over from 2013)

• The Last Blade 2
• Neo Driftout
• Samurai Shodown II
• Sengoku

Regarding the new list, I’d say Last Blade 2 and Neo Driftout will be finished relatively soon, as I have them more or less planned out in my head.  Same with Knight’s Chance, and Magician Lord should be a quick fix.  The others may take longer, particularly Sengoku and Sam Sho II, two earlier inserts I’ve never been completely happy with.

Anyway, I enjoy making these and I’m glad fellow Neo-Geo heads find them useful.  Here’s to a great 2014!
